Wildcats to Hold 1st Annual Teddy Bear Toss

In conjunction with the annual Salvation Army Toy Drive at CKNR Radio on Friday December 5th, the Elliot Lake Wildcats will be holding a Teddy Bear Toss during their game with the Blind River Beavers.

Traditionally the Teddy Bear toss happens when the Home Team scores their 1st goal, but because of netting, the heaters and beams, we will do ours a little differently.

At the end of the 1st period, we are planning to have the Elliot Lake Squirts Tim Bits Penguins play a 5 minute game. As soon as one side scores, the teddy bears can be thrown on the ice. The throwing will take place from the home and away benches as well as both doors to get on the ice. (Please toss and leave the area so that everyone has a chance to do their own toss)

ALL stuffed animals HAVE to be in a plastic bag & tied.

Because we all know that kids need hats, scarves and mitts also, everyone is welcome to toss new and knitted sets and these can also be put in clear plastic bags and tossed onto the ice.

There will be an area in the arena lobby for anyone who prefers to donate toys and are not able to make it to the radio station during the day, to donate their toys.

ALL TEDDY BEARS, MITTS, SCARVES, TOYS ETC… ARE STAYING IN OUR COMMUNITY FOR THE KIDS IN NEED.
